In loving memory

I'm pretty sure this isn't actually blog-worthy, but...

After I crossed the road today on my way into work I felt something fall out of my lunch bag onto the sidewalk and realized that I had been carrying my bag kind of sideways so things were falling out. I looked back to see what else I had dropped and I saw a sandwich and a burrito in the middle of the road. I wanted to run out to save them because...well because it was my food, but I had to wait until there weren't any cars speeding by. Both the sandwich and the burrito seemed somewhat safe for being in the middle of the road since they were both sitting on the double yellow lines. Just as the road was clearing up two consecutive cars ran right over the sandwich with me watching helplessly from the sidewalk.

My poor sandwich. I'll never forget you.

From Wasteland to Wonderful

We have done almost no landscaping during the three years we've lived here, so this was WAY overdue. We are so happy to have it done. I'm sure our neighbors are too. :)

Little Swimmer

Practicing "streamline"

Working on his kick

Reed just finished his first session of swimming lessons today and has already improved so much and loved every minute of it. He's already a huge fan of the water, but I think what he loves the most is having a "real teacher". I guess I don't count. :) I wouldn't call him an official "swimmer" yet, but he's getting closer.

The best part of any movie

Reed and I went to see Ratatouille last night as a reward for good behavior that he's been working on for the past few weeks. The movie was great, but even better was when we got home and Lindsay asked him what his favorite part of the movie was. He said, "Eating treats!"

I guess we know what his next prize should be.

Brothers!! I see the resemblance, don't you?

I go back and forth all the time deciding whether or not Reed and Max look alike. It really depends on the day for me, but in these pictures there sure is no denying that these two are brothers. It will be fun to see how similar they end up looking as they grow up.

Working Hard or Hardly Working?

Reed loves nothing more than to "work" outside....especially with Sam. Almost everyday he tells me he need to "work" outside. I've seen his work and I think next time he tells me he wants to work I need to tell him. "You keep using that word....I do not think it means what you think it means."

Our sweet Max

Max is really such a sweet boy. These photos of him are a pretty accurate depiction of what he is like 90% of the time.

Hey...this is easy

So this is the first photo I've posted so I thought I'd make it of our favorite people. Here are Reed and Max!
