I don't know all of mankind, but I think I've seen enough of it's struggle from my own personal weaknesses as well as the array of wickedness that fills the world we live in to know that it would take a lot of seeing the "glass half full" to feel such hope and make that kind of sacrifice worthwhile.
There is nothing I want more than to be like my Heavenly Father someday so I am going for follow his example by looking for all the good and focusing on the hope that Savior brings to our imperfection.
Some good stuff from today:
1. Feeling prompted to bring Ruby the homework she left behind and then have her express great appreciation for my efforts.
2. Reed coming home and practicing hymns without being asked.
3. Reed and Max working out together.
4.Harlow and Ruby happily playing together making up games and helping each other pass different "levels" while they patiently waited for me to pick them up late.
5. Listening to the words of the prophet from last conference in the car and feeling his love and encouragement.
6. Having Stella quickly forgive me after I got a little too "animated" in my request for her to not rub bath tub dye on the walls.
7.Being able to rest for a little bit before I picked up the kids from school because I was painfully tired.
Since I am focusing on the positive, let's call this blurry picture "artsy" so we don't have to talk about how my replacement phone finally arrived today and not only is it not "unlocked" as advertised, but it also has a faulty camera that only takes blurry pictures. :)
